Golf leagues and seasons on BetLoopr

One roster, a round a week, standings that build all season — and every week settles its own money.

What a season is in BetLoopr

A season is a set of ordinary rounds played by one roster. Each week is its own game with its own scorecard, its own side games and its own settle-up; the season adds the weeks up into standings.

Set the first date and fill the rest weekly, then add a week whenever you're ready — there's no limit on how many.

Trips and Ryder Cup–style weekends work the same way ›

    How a season is scored

Pick the points once, when you set it up, and every week counts the same way:

    Stableford points

Each player's Stableford points, added up across the weeks. The everyday choice: a bad hole costs a point, not the season.

    Stroke play

Each player's own net to par, added across the weeks, with a scramble or Chapman week allowed in the middle.

    Match play points

Every week is matches inside each group, for a league that plays head-to-head.

    Money only

Skip the points: the standings are simply what each player won, week by week.

Whichever you pick, you can run a money list next to it, so the season shows both tables: who's leading on points, and who's up the most money from the weeks' games and side games. Weeks can be any format the scoring allows: a skins week, a Stableford week, a best-ball week.

    The table

    Standings your league will recognise

    Best N weeks count

Set "best 10 of 14" and a player's worst weeks drop out; a week that didn't count shows struck through, so everyone can see why the total is what it is.

    Flights

Give each player a flight (A, B, Gold, Senior — any label) and the standings show per flight as well as overall.

    A money list

Next to the points table, so the season has both.

    Team standings

For a league that plays as pairs, with "best ball" or "both partners count" per team.

    Ties share a place

With no count-back on the table.

A missed week earns nothing and hides nothing

The table shows how many weeks each player has played.

    Week to week

    Running the season

    Who plays this week

Each round is added from the season page with a "Who plays" list — everyone who's active, or a chosen few. A player who can't make it is simply left out of that week.

    Handicaps that move

Each player's handicap lives on the season roster and is copied into each new week; change it on the roster and it applies from the next week added, so a player who's improving isn't carrying March's number in August.

One join for the whole season

Players join once, by link or the join code, and that one claim puts them into every week. Someone who joins mid-season plays from the next week added.

A final seeded from the standings

When you add the last round, "Seed from flight leaders" fills the field from the top of each flight.

    Each week settles itself

When a week is final, its money is written once and the week is done. Nobody waits until October to find out what they owe from April.

    A season pot

Optional: one entry fee from everyone, paid out by place on the standing you choose when every week is finished. A shared place splits the money evenly.

    The side money

    Side games every week

Each week has its own side games — skins one week, closest to the pin the next — and a new week starts with the side games of the week before. Side games are money only; they never move the season's points or scores.

    Questions

    Ask Looper

How a game is scored, how the money settles, how to set something up. Answers come from these pages.

How does a golf league keep standings across the season?

Pick how it's scored once — Stableford points, Money only, Stroke play or Match play points — and every week adds to one table, with a money list beside it if you want both. "Best N weeks" drops the worst weeks, flights give each division its own standings, and ties share a place.

What if someone misses a week?

They earn nothing that week and keep their place on the weeks they played; the table shows how many weeks each player has played. With "best N weeks" on, a missed week often doesn't cost anything at all.

Can handicaps change during the season?

Yes. Change a player's handicap on the season roster and it applies from the next week added. Weeks already played keep the handicap they were played with.

Do we settle up every week or at the end?

Every week. Each round settles its own money when it's final. An optional season pot is the one thing that waits for the last week.

    Can players join partway through?

Yes. One join covers every week from the next one added onward.
