BetLoopr Privacy Policy

    Effective date: October 12, 2026

BetLoopr is operated by Craft Batch Marketing LLC ("BetLoopr", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through the BetLoopr app and betloopr.com (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. BetLoopr is in beta; we'll keep this policy up to date as it grows.

The short version: we collect what's needed to run your golf rounds. We don't sell your information, we don't show ads, and we don't use third-party advertising or analytics trackers. Other players in your tournament see your name, handicap, scores and results; only the tournament's organizers see contact details.

    1. Information we collect

Account information. Your email address and a password (stored by our sign-in provider in hashed form — we never see it), or, if you sign in with Google, your name, email address and Google account identifier.

Profile information you choose to add. First and last name, nickname, handicap, GHIN number, home course, preferred tees, a short bio, a profile photo, phone number and notification preferences.

Information organizers enter about players. When someone sets up a round, they may add players who don't have an account yet — by typing them in or uploading a tee sheet — including name, email address, phone number, handicap, gender (used only to pick the correct tee ratings for handicap calculations), tee and group. If you were added this way, you can claim your spot by signing in.

Round and game information. Tournaments and rounds you create or join, scores, the games and amounts chosen, side-game entries (such as closest-to-the-pin distances and long-drive tags), presses, team and group assignments, starting holes, calculated results and settlement records, and in-app notifications.

Golf buddies. When a round is completed, the app saves the other players' names and handicaps to each player's own "golf buddies" list, so you can add them to your next round quickly. Contact details are never copied into buddy lists. You can also add buddies yourself, or import them from a file.

Location. The app uses your device's location in two ways, and only if you allow it:

    • Yardages. While the scorecard is open on a course we have mapped, the app reads your location on your device to show distances to the green. That location is used on your phone only; it isn't sent to us or saved.
    • Tags you choose to save. If you tap to tag a spot during a round — for example the tee box or where a long drive stopped — we save that one point with the round.

We don't track your location in the background. You can decline location permission and keep using the Service without yardages or tagging.

Scorecard photos. An organizer can photograph a paper scorecard to fill in a group's scores. The photo is sent to our AI provider to read the names and scores, and is not stored by us after it's processed.

How the Service is used. We keep a simple first-party record of a few actions inside a tournament — for example when its join page, leaderboard or results are opened, and whether the join page was reached from a printed QR code — linked to the account if you're signed in. We use it to understand and improve how the Service works at events. It isn't shared with advertisers or analytics companies.

Emails you send us and product-update sign-ups — from the website footer, or the unticked "send me product updates" box when you create an account.

Technical information. Our hosting and database providers automatically record technical data such as IP address, browser type and request times in server logs, used for security and troubleshooting. The app also stores some data on your own device (browser storage) — for example, keeping you signed in, remembering a draft round, and holding scores entered without a signal until they send. We don't use advertising cookies.

    2. How we use information

    • To provide the Service: running rounds and tournaments, calculating handicaps, games and results, showing leaderboards, and keeping your data in sync across devices.
    • To send service emails, such as tournament invitations, "your round is set" and "you're in" notices, results summaries an organizer chooses to send, and welcome emails.
    • To respond to your messages and feedback.
    • To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
    • To understand and improve the Service.
    • To comply with the law.

We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

    3. Who can see your information

Other players in your tournament can see your name or nickname, handicap, tee, group or team, scores, game results and calculated amounts for that tournament, plus moments such as birdies shared with the field.

The tournament's organizers — the person who created it and any co-organizers they add — can also see the email address and phone number entered for players in their tournament, so they can invite them.

People with a tournament's join code. To help players find their spot, anyone who has a tournament's join code (for example from a printed sign) can search that tournament's unclaimed spots by name. The search shows only full names and group numbers, a few at a time — never contact details, and never the whole list at once.

Anyone you share with. If you share an invite link, a leaderboard or a results card, the recipient sees what's on it.

    4. Service providers we share information with

We use these companies to run the Service. They process information on our behalf, only as needed to provide their service to us:

We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

    5. How long we keep information

We keep account and round information while your account is active, so your history and past results stay available to you and the other players in those rounds. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where we need to keep it for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons. Scores and results in tournaments you played may remain visible to the other players under a de-identified name, because those rounds belong to the whole group. Server logs are kept for a limited period by our providers.

    6. Your choices and rights

    • Access and update: you can view and edit your profile in the app at any time.
    • Delete your account: email hello@betloopr.com from the address on your account and we'll delete it.
    • Location and camera: you can refuse or revoke these permissions in your device settings.
    • Emails: to stop product-update emails, email hello@betloopr.com. Service emails, such as invitations, are part of using the Service.

California residents. You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it (described in this policy), to request access to, correction of or deletion of your information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To make a request, email hello@betloopr.com; we'll verify it by confirming it from the email address on your account.

If you live elsewhere, you may have similar rights under your local law — contact us and we'll honor them as the law requires.

    7. Children and teens

The Service is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has given us information, email hello@betloopr.com and we'll delete the account and its information.

Players aged 13 to 17 may use scoring, leaderboards and other features, but may not take part in any game with money attached (see our Terms of Service).

    8. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, database access rules that limit each user to the data they're allowed to see, and separate, revocable keys for our own systems. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

    9. Where information is stored

We're based in the United States, and our providers store information in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.

    10. Changes to this policy

We'll post changes here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we'll tell you in the Service or by email before it takes effect.
