BetLoopr Terms of Service
Effective date: October 12, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Craft Batch Marketing LLC ("BetLoopr", "we", "us"), which operates the BetLoopr app and website at betloopr.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. What BetLoopr is — and isn't
BetLoopr is a scorekeeping tool for golf. It lets people organize rounds and tournaments, record scores, apply handicaps, follow leaderboards, and work out the results of side games — such as skins, Nassau, wolf, presses, closest to the pin, long drive and entry-fee pots — that players agree to among themselves.
BetLoopr is not a gambling service, sportsbook or payment service. In particular:
- We never accept, hold, transfer or pay out money, and we take no cut of any game or pot.
- Dollar amounts shown in the Service are a record of what players told us they agreed to, calculated from the scores entered. They are not a bet placed with us, a promise by us to pay, or a debt we collect.
- Any money that changes hands does so directly between players, outside the Service, and is entirely their own arrangement.
- We do not set odds, and nobody plays against BetLoopr.
You are responsible for making sure any game with money attached is legal where you are. Laws about private wagers differ by state and country. Don't use the Service for any wager that is illegal for you.
2. Eligibility and age
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
- Games with money attached are for adults only: you must be at least 18, or older if the law where you are requires it, to take part in any game, pot or stake that has money attached. Players under 18 may use scoring, leaderboards and other features without money attached.
- Organizers who attach money to a round are responsible for making sure everyone taking part in those games meets this requirement.
- By using the Service you confirm you meet these requirements and, if you're under 18, that you have a parent's or guardian's permission.
3. Accounts
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- You can sign in with email and password or with Google.
- Tell us promptly at hello@betloopr.com if you think your account has been misused.
4. Organizers and players they add
A tournament organizer can add players before those players have an account — by entering a name, email address, phone number, handicap or tee, or by uploading a tee sheet. If you add someone, you confirm you have their permission to give us that information and to invite them. A player who was added can claim their spot by signing in, including by finding their name with the tournament's join code.
Organizers, and any co-organizers they choose, control their tournament's settings — including the games, amounts and handicap allowance — can enter or correct scores, can finalize a tournament even if some groups didn't finish, and can re-run its results. Players in a tournament can see each other's names, scores, handicaps and the calculated results.
5. Accuracy of scores and results
We work hard to calculate correctly, but results depend on the scores, handicaps, course data and settings people enter, and software can have errors. Scores read from a scorecard photo are read by an automated system and must be checked before they're saved. Check the results before you settle up. The Service helps you keep track; it does not decide disputes between players, and we are not responsible for any disagreement over a result or payment between users. Course data (such as par, stroke index, slope and map data used for yardages) comes partly from third-party sources and may be incomplete or out of date; yardages are estimates.
6. Your content
"Your content" means what you put into the Service: scores, names and nicknames, photos (such as a profile photo or a photo of a paper scorecard), messages and tournament details. You keep ownership of your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display and share it only as needed to operate, improve and provide the Service — for example, showing your scores on a leaderboard to the other players in your tournament, or creating a results card you choose to share. This license ends when your content is deleted, except where others have already received it (for example an image you shared) or where we must keep it by law.
You're responsible for your content and must have the right to share it.
7. Acceptable use
Don't:
- use the Service for anything illegal, including illegal gambling or bookmaking;
- run a commercial betting operation, charge others to take part through the Service, or use it to take bets from the public;
- let anyone under 18 take part in a game with money attached;
- harass, impersonate or deceive others, or enter someone's information without permission;
- try to access accounts or data that aren't yours, probe or disrupt the Service, or scrape it in bulk;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the Service except as the law allows.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service — its software, design, the BetLoopr name, the Looper mascot and logos — belongs to us and is protected by law. These Terms don't give you any right to use our name or logos. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on others, such as Google for sign-in and third-party providers for golf course and map data. Their services are governed by their own terms, and we aren't responsible for them.
10. Beta and changes to the Service
The Service is currently in beta and free. Features may change, be added or be removed, and the Service may sometimes be unavailable. If we introduce paid features, we'll tell you before charging anything, and you won't be charged without agreeing.
11. Ending your use
You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@betloopr.com (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put the Service or others at risk. Sections 1, 5, 6 (as to content already shared), 8 and 12–15 survive.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT SCORES, HANDICAPS, COURSE DATA, YARDAGES OR CALCULATED RESULTS ARE ACCURATE OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE WON'T BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF MONEY, WAGERS, PROFITS OR DATA, INCLUDING ANY AMOUNT WON, LOST OR PAID BETWEEN USERS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
14. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your wagers or other dealings with other users, or your breach of these Terms or the law.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Contra Costa County, California, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction; either of us may instead bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we'll give notice in the Service or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
